Nintendo has announced an extended maintenance period for Nintendo Network, which will affect the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. Services that are being affected include online play, rankings, and anything that uses Nintendo Network to connect, so you’ll be unable to play while the maintenance is being performed.
It’s a pretty hefty maintenance period, starting on January 11, 2016 at 5pm PST and extending until 3am on January 12. That takes both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS offline for the better part of prime-time during Monday of next week.
