Nintendo is now selling Switch consoles without docks in Japan

Nintendo is now selling dock-less Switch consoles in Japan on its official store. The consoles are targeted to users who already have a Switch and a dock, but one can easily see people buy them who just want a portable console.

The Switch units without a dock are also cheaper: they retail for 26,978 Yen ($244), which are about $50 cheaper than the standard Switch console with the dock, 32,378 Yen ($293).

However, the dock-less Switch console does not come with an AC adapter, so it’s clear that the target consumer is someone who already has one Switch unit.

Would you buy a secondary Switch for around $250, even if it didn’t include an AC adapter? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
