Nintendo is making a new left Joy-Con for the Switch to fix issues

The left Joy-Con for the Nintendo Switch has had connectivity issues every since the console launched, and since Nintendo didn’t manage to fix with with firmware updates, it looked like a hardware issue.

That’s now been confirmed as Nintendo has submitted a new left Joy-Con controller to the FCC for certification, confirming that it was a hardware issue and that they are working on a new left Joy-Con controller to remedy this.

The hardware change to the Joy-Con appears to be big enough to warrant a new FCC filing, most likely because of a more robust Bluetooth antenna.
