This week’s high profile release is for the Nintendo 3DS, as Miyamoto’s project Code Name S.T.E.A.M. is finally available for download tomorrow. The game has been receiving mixed reviews from numerous critics and the most common complaint seen is that the enemy turns take too long with no way to speed them up. If you’re unfamiliar with this style of combat, it’s turn-based strategy with two phases of movement, similar to the XCOM series on PC. Players will be able to position their team and afterward the enemy responds.
On the Wii U front, we have Trine: Enchanted Edition releasing with a tasty deal of 20% off for those who already own Trine 2. If you loved Trine 2 you’re in for a treat, as Trine: Enchanted Edition is the original game remade entirely using Trine 2’s engine and graphical improvements, so you can finally experience the origin story for the series.
