Nintendo dominates first half of 2017 games sales in Japan

Video game sales numbers for the first half of 2017 are out in Japan, and Nintendo is dominating the list. The top 5 best selling games of 2017 so far are all on Nintendo platforms, and four of those five are Nintendo first party titles.

The best selling game so far in 2017 is Monster Hunter XX, followed by another 3DS game: Pokemon Sun & Moon.

Of the top 10 best selling games so far in 2017, 8 are Nintendo titles, and 3 are Switch titles, despite the console releasing in March.
