According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, we could see Nintendo’s first mobile app from DeNA as early as next week. Earlier this year when the company announced a partnership to bring Nintendo’s IPs to the mobile audience, investors and stock soared at the news. Nintendo will be revealing its earnings on Wednesday and speaking with investors on Thursday, so this will be a prime opportunity to discuss the mobile future.
Of course we already know about Pokemon Go, an effort being spearheaded by both Nintendo and Google with a $20 million dollar investment in Niantic Labs, the developer of the game. The game will be very similar to Ingress in how it plays out with location-based gaming, but will feature Pokemon in the game world.
