Nintendo seems to be looking for new ways to get its fans to buy more amiibo in Japan, as the latest promotion for the region features a code for a downloadable challenge. Anyone who buys an amiibo in Japan will get a code to download Mini Mario and Friends Amiibo Challenge, which features toy versions of all of your favorite Nintendo characters.
The downloadable title is available for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS and currently there’s no word on whether or not the promotion will see a Western release. If you’re familiar with the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, the mini-game awarded appears to use the same aesthetic style. Perhaps Nintendo is having trouble getting people in Japan to continue adopting new amiibo figures?
