New trailer released after Bayonetta 2 Nintendo Direct

Last night a Nintendo Direct aired dedicated to releasing more information about the upcoming Bayonetta 2. We already knew the October 24 release date, but Nintendo re-confirmed that during the Nintendo Direct, as well as a few more details that were spotty up until now.

Of course the original game is included in the retail packaging, but for those who want to buy the title digitally, adding both to your cart will enact a special discount that makes sure you get both Bayonetta 2 and the original game for only $59.98. Aside from the technical aspects of the game’s release, Nintendo also included some new information about the game, including the fact that it was written by none other than Hideki Kamiya.

Bayonetta also has a new move in the game called Umbran Climax, as well as several costume options that have Bayonetta assuming the costumes of notable Nintendo characters like Princess Peach, Daisy, Link, Samus and even Fox McCloud.

Europe will be getting a special edition boxed set for the release of the game, but there’s currently no information on whether or not this boxed set will be released in North America.
