A brand new system update for the Wii U has been released and is available for download. This 4.10 download includes, “further improvements to overall system stability” and “other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.” The update is available in North America, Europe and Australia.

This update is likely in preparation for the summer update that president Satoru Iwata outlined in January. This Wii U firmware update will include a new fast start-up menu and will significantly improve the time it takes to start using software on the Wii U. Instead of booting into the Wii U main menu, users will be able to skip the home screen by booting directly into the software after selecting the appropriate Mii.

Currently there is no word on when this summer update will be released.
