According to a French video game site, the Nintendo NX will be quite a powerful console. Just as powerful as the upcoming PS4 Neo, which will be twice as powerful as the regular PS4 on the market today.
The report, coming from GameBlog.fr — which has a poor track record when it comes to these things — also says that Nintendo will announce the NX console in September, likely at the Tokyo Game Show.
Another interesting part of their NX rumor is that Nintendo will be remastering some of its games on the NX, including Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and Zelda Skyward Sword.
It seems pretty silly that Nintendo would remaster Skyward Sword when Breath of the Wild will launch with the NX.
And we’re not really buying the idea that the NX will be as powerful as the PS4 Neo — Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime said that they don’t care about specs and “teraflops”.
Or maybe Reggie is playing the old “under promise and over deliver” trick with us.
