Need for Speed: Mosted Wanted U is graphically superior than current consoles

With the announcement of Need for Speed: Mosted Wanted U during the most recent Nintendo Direct, it was nice to see just how well Criterion is putting the Wii U to the test. You can see the announcement in the above footage, which looks great, but you can’t really notice the difference between the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions until you start comparing side-by-side screenshots. Then the Wii U blows the Xbox 360 out of the water.

Remember that the textures used in the Wii U version of the game were also those used in the PC version, which is typically the graphically superior version thanks to better processing power and more RAM than consoles. What do you think about these shots? These are pretty solid proof that the Wii U has what it takes to compete in next generation, if developers are willing to take advantage of the Wii U’s processing power as Criterion has done.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted U will be available on March 19th.

Thanks Andrew!
