Remember the good ‘ol days where you could buy an NBA Jam game on a Nintendo console? Well, it looks like Saber Interactive does, because they’re developing NBA Playgrounds for the Nintendo Switch.
NBA Playgrounds will let you play and level-up officially-licensed NBA players like Allen Iverson, Steph Curry, George Hill, and more. From the looks of the trailer, the gameplay seems to invoke the style of NBA Jam with impressive dunks and larger-than-life heads. There will even be “hundreds of over-the-top dunks and moves” as our press release notes.
NBA Playgrounds will feature every NBA team with current and retired players. You’ll be able to play the game by yourself, locally, or online.
The digital-only title drops sometime next month for low price of $20.
