This week, Saber Interactive announced the entire roster and some DLC characters for NBA Playgrounds, their upcoming, NBA Jam-inspired arcade basketball game.
As we already knew, superstars Lebron James and Stephen Curry made the cut, but legends like Shaquille O’Neil, Magic Johnson, and Patrick Ewing will also be lacing up. It looks like the roster has a decent balance of legacy and recent players. Sadly, Michael Jordan is nowhere to be found.
In the comments section of GameSpot’s reveal, Saber Interactive stated that Tim Duncan didn’t make the initial cut because the studio had to wait for him to join the retirement association. Duncan will, however, be added in “DLC 1,” along with Isaiah Thomas.
