Nintendo has released three Splatoon Amiibos so far, and according to recent Splatoon game file data, more might be on the way.
Twitter user NWPlayer123, who digs through Splatoon game files and has accurately leaked new content in the past, brings us news that Splatoon Squid Sisters Amiibo reference was spotted in the game.
The mentions include “AmiiboIdolA” and “AmiiboIdolB”, which are in addition to the three Amiibo listings already there (for the current 3 Amiibos: Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, and, Inkling Squid).
So far this is only a rumor, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo released a few more Splatoon Amiibo figures — it is one of the most popular Wii U games right now, after all.
