The popular board game Monopoly recently made it to the Switch thanks to Ubisoft. But it hasn’t been problem free: Monopoly on the Switch can have insane load times, ranging from 5 to a whopping 10 minutes.
That’s not just loading a game to play, it can also take up to 10 minutes simply getting to the game from the Switch home menu.
Clearly this is a programming error and Ubisoft has acknowledged as much. They released a statement saying that they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.
In the meantime, Ubisoft advises users to “reboot their Nintendo Switch prior to starting Monopoly for Nintendo Switch”, as that might help the load times.
