Minecraft for the Wii U has been rated by the PEGI board

Minecraft is on nearly every platform under the sun except for the Wii U, but that’s about to change. The PEGI board is the European equivalent of the ESRB, an organization that rates games according to their content to keep mature games out of the hands of children (haha, right?). Either way, the board has certified Minecraft Wii U Edition as suitable for children over the age of 7.

We always thought it was a bit strange that Telltale Games would bring their Minecraft Story adventure game to the Wii U when it’s been a sticking point for years that the Xbox and PlayStation have had Minecraft and the Wii U doesn’t. We thought the chances of the Wii U getting Minecraft would be even slimmer now that Microsoft owns Mojang. But it’s happening. You’ll finally be able to mine and craft on your Wii U.

No release date yet, but expect it soon.
