Earlier this year, the team at Comcept issued a Kickstarter backer update that stated they were putting the final touches on Mighty No. 9, a spiritual successor to Keiji Inafune’s Mega Man. The original launch date for the Kickstarter was slated as April 2015 and with that nearly out the door, many wondered when the team would announce a release date for the game.

Thankfully, the team has announced that the game will be releasing on September 15 in the United States and few days later on September 18 for Europe. Kickstarter backers will be able to choose their platform and if you weren’t a Kickstarter backer, don’t worry as both a physical and digital release will be available in both regions. Both Kickstarter backers and physical copy purchasers will be getting the Ray DLC for the game for free.

The only hitch in the announcement is that the Nintendo 3DS version of the game will be coming at a later date, so if you were counting on playing the game on your 3DS, you’ll have to wait a bit.
