Today, Nintendo revealed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 459,000 combined digital and retail units during its launch in the US last Friday.
These sales numbers make Mario Kart 8 Deluxe the fastest-selling Mario Kart title in Nintendo history. The previous record holder for this title was Mario Kart Wii with 433,900 launch units sold.
According to Nintendo, 45% of Nintendo Switch owners in the US bought themselves a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe last Friday.
