The answer to that question is probably no, but that hasn’t stopped Mercedes from teaming up with Nintendo in order to promote the Mercedes GLA, an SUV currently available in Japan. The advertisement features a look at everyone’s favorite Mario brother driving and takes an unexpected turn. It’s funny how Mario is typically portrayed as a somewhat stocky, short Italian guy, yet the guy who climbs out of the car could only be described as a tall American with a bulbous nose.
Either way, according to the promotion Mercedes DLC is scheduled to be offered in Mario Kart 8, allowing drivers to download a free Mercedes GLA piece to drive around the track. That answers the MPAA’s age old question, “You wouldn’t download a car, would you?” with a resounding yes. It’s not likely we’ll see the DLC in America since the particular car model it’s advertising isn’t available here, but one can dream, right?
