Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a much needed new feature over Wii U

One of the most annoying parts of playing Mario Kart 8 online on the Wii U version is that you can’t change your character or kart once you’re in an online lobby. You’re stuck playing that character until you leave and rejoin with a new selection.

It seems Nintendo listened to people complain about how annoying this feature is, as they fixed it in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

As you can see from the screenshot shared in that tweet, there’s now a way to change the character and kart you’re using directly in the online lobby without having to leave first. Is that change enough to make you buy Mario Kart 8 again?
