Nintendo has announced a partnership with Loot Crate, a company that serves up a surprise gaming-related box every month in a subscription service. The new Amiibo subscription service will begin shipping on November 21, after the items have been released through retail. According to the company, the subscription service will guarantee the delivery of 10 pre-selected amiibo figures, including Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Fox McCloud, and Yoshi. The other five Amiibo that will be included in the subscription will be announced soon.
No price for this subscription service have been announced yet, but if you want to get in on the action you can sign up to be put on a waitlist. The typical price for a Loot Crate box is $13.37 + $6 in shipping, so around $19 for a box of goodies. You’ll probably see smaller odds and ends like keychains and stickers included with your Amiibo figure, as Funko Pop figures are frequently given away in regular loot crate boxes.
