Nintendo outlined several new details about Kirby and the Rainbow Curse during today’s Nintendo Direct, including amiibo compatibility for the game. The game will include support for the Kirby, Meta Knight, and King Dedede amiibos, wich each amiibo granting Kirby special abilities based on the characteristics of that particular amiibo.
Each amiibo can only be used one per day and it will impart a special ability to Kirby. Using the Kirby amiibo gives you a longer dash time, while the King Dedede amiibo will give you six health blips instead of only four. The Meta Knight amiibo gives Kirby a powerful attack to quickly slice through enemies, which will come in handy for levels with lots of enemies you’ll need to escape.
The game will be releasing on February 20.
