Japanese sales: Wii U drops back to 6k sales

Sales for Japan in the previous week are now available, giving us a look at how the market is performing after the release of a big Wii U title a few weeks ago. After releasing Xenoblade Chronicles X two weeks ago in Japan, Wii U sales have dropped back to their normal sale rate of about 6k per week. Xenoblade Chronicles X itself has dropped down to number 8 on the charts, selling just 4k units this week. Mario Kart 8 ranks above it at number 6 on the charts, thanks to the recent release of a brand new DLC pack.

The PlayStation 4 had two new releases this week to help propel it to the top of the charts, while the rest of the chart is primarily a smattering of Nintendo 3DS games.
