Japanese sales: 3DS returns to dominate, Wii U 10k

The Japanese sales numbers for this week from Media Create have been released and once again the Nintendo 3DS dominates. The release of Pokemon Art Academy for the Nintendo 3DS has been quite popular in Japan, claiming the top spot for the first week available with around 31k units sold the first week. Yokai Watch continues to dominate in the second spot, while Mario Kart 8 for Wii U has dropped to the third spot.

PS Vita and PS3/PS4 games round out the rest of the top ten, while PS Vita managed to beat out the Wii U in terms of console sales this week.
