Yesterday the NPD Group released their numbers for console and software sales in the United States. Unlike Japan, we don’t get a transparent look at raw numbers, so we have to take what PR firms are saying about each of the consoles to heart. The good news is that both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS are up in sales, when the month is normalized for a four-week month.
The Nintendo 3DS saw a 6% increase in sales, while the Wii U saw a 26% increase in sales. Overall, the PlayStation 4 was the best selling-console of the month, managing to outsell the Xbox One at a nearly 2:1 ratio as confirmed by Sony. While we don’t get a specific look at console numbers, we do know the top ten selling games for this month, which are listed below:
- Call Of Duty: Ghosts (360, PS3, XBO, PS4, NWU, PC)
- NBA 2K14 (PS4, 360, XBO, PS3, PC)
