It took more than “a few days”, but iOS finally got the Chrome 32 update we reported about 2 weeks ago. This is a very nice update – it brings some very important improvements, as well as features people have been requesting for a long time!

What is new?

The most significant addition is Translate, which has been available for Android for a very long time. Users will be able to access foreign language websites and be prompted to translate.

In addition, this update also brings iOS (and Android) the data compression feature. This takes advantage of Google’s servers, which compress the information before displaying a website to you. This can save you up to 50% in data usage! It should be great for your pocket.

Other improvements include improvements to the New Tab page, which will be rolling out gradually, starting with the iPhone. And of course, there is the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

Wrap Up

Go update your Chrome browser if you haven’t yet! The update is available straight from the Apple App Store.
