The folks at Image & Form are taking hype to the next level with the upcoming release of SteamWorld Heist. The developers have announced the SteamWorld Ambassador Program today, giving fans of the series the first change to play SteamWorld Heist before release. According to the press release, the team will be launching the game on one or two platforms at a time this fall, including 3DS, Wii U, Steam, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and mobile.
Every other Tuesday, the team will post a challenge on the SteamWorld blog. The winner of each individual challenge will joing the club of official SteamWorld Ambassadors. So what does that membership grant you? According to the developers, you’ll be one of the first people to play the game before release, for absolutely free. The announcement says winners will also be given extra codes to share with friends, so if you were a fan of SteamWorld Dig and you’re looking forward to SteamWorld Heist, this could be your chance to play the game early.
