The new issue of Famitsu magazine in Japan has new juicy details about Hyrule Warriors, including a release date. The game is headed to the Wii U on August 14 in Japan and is being developed by two studios instead of one. Omega Force is the main studio and the developer of most of the original Dynasty Warriors games, but Team Ninja of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden fame are also helping work on the series.

The magazine stated that Hisashi Koinuma and Yosuke Hayasahi are serving as producers as the game, while Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma supervises the project. Details for the story of the game aren’t revealed beyond Zelda being kidnapped by a witch named Shia, which starts Link’s quest to rescue her.
