Today the Wii U celebrates its first birthday, launching a year ago to the date on November 18th, 2012. We’ve come a long way in what feels like just a few months. The launch demand for the Wii u was pretty great and even though we experienced a game drought in the early days of 2013 with launch titles like Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends being pushed back until later in the year, the Wii U is chugging along as Sony and Microsoft finally join the next-generation console line up.
The PS4 launched last Friday and this Friday the Xbox One will officially kick off the start of the entire next-generation. What are you looking forward to most over the next few years? Super Smash Bros. and the next Legend of Zelda title will no doubt be big titles for Nintendo and will help increase the install base, but there are often smaller things that Nintendo can get right to perfect the Wii U experience. Is there anything you don’t like about the Wii U? Anything you want to see improved? Let us know as we celebrate the Wii U’s first birthday!
