GameStop is offering an interesting item up for pre-order right now: a stone figure of Star Fox’ Fox McCloud. Judging from the photo, it looks like a detailed and high-quality product, but GameStop is selling it for $80. Eighty bucks for a figurine.
The Fox McCloud figure — or “statue” as GameStop likes to call it — is made by BD&A, who are known for making various gaming accessories (like this Super Mario backpack). Only 5,000 figures will be made. They will be released on February 9th, 2016, exclusively at GameStop.
The figure is 8″ tall and made out of resin stone, and then hand-painted by an artist at a swatshop in China somewhere. Probably.
