Here’s an interesting Nintendo NX rumor: games retailer GameStop is asking gamers in a new survey whether they plan to buy a Nintendo NX in the next 12 months. Which is odd, because no one is sure whether the NX will launch in 12 months at all.
Unless, of course, GameStop knows something we don’t. Which has happened in the past, with the retailer (and other retailers) leaking the release dates or release windows of upcoming consoles and games.
The survey, seen below, asks participants if they are aware of the Nintendo NX console, then later ask how likely they are to purchase an NX console within the next 12 months.
The NX is the only real console that’s mentioned in the survey, all the other ones are virtual reality headsets: Sony’s PlayStation VR, the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR.
The question now is, does GameStop expect the NX to launch within 12 months? Or do they know it’ll launch within the next 12 months? Or are they just guessing?
