Game Deals: Free Amiibos, Wii U deals & more!

gaming-deals-of-the-week

As we move into the holiday season and more games are are releasing, you might not have time to buy games that you planned on purchasing when they got a discount. That’s fine though, as we have some great game deals on upcoming stuff this week, especially for anyone interested in the upcoming Super Smash Bros.

The biggest deal available right now is from Toys R Us. Currently they’re offering a free Amiibo of your choice when you pre-order Super Smash Bros. with them. The game comes out on November 21 and unlike other toys-to-life games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, you already have the means to interface with the toy built into your GamePad. Pick the Amiibo you want, add it to your cart with the game and the discount will be applied at checkout. Currently there’s no end date on this sale, just a note mentioning while supplies last.

It’s also worth noting that Toys R’ Us has the series 2 amiibo figures listed right alongside the series 1 figures, so if you pre-order a figure from series 2, you may not get it immediately as the release date for those hasn’t been announced yet.

Groupon

Groupon is offering several deals on Wii U software this week, one of them being the Wii Fit U bundle. This bundle includes the balance board, game, and the Wii Fit meter for only $50. If you haven’t gotten on board the Wii Fit craze and want to test out the meter, it was determined to be one of the most accurate pedometers available in the consumer market!

While not exactly Wii U related, Groupon does have the Hyperkin RetroN 5 console, a new console dedicated to playing older console games. If you have old NES, SNES, Genesis, or GameBoy, GB Color or GB Advance games laying around that you’d like to play again, this all-in-one console will get the job done. The controller resembles the original Sega Genesis controller.
