EDGE Magazine was supposed to be released to subscribers this week, but it had to be delayed in order not to break a review embargo for Super Mario Odyssey.
And while we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the magazine and their review of Super Mario Odyssey, someone has already read it and shared the score:
Super Mario Odyssey got a perfect 10 out of 10 from Edge. The last game that the magazine gave a perfect score to? Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Here’s what EDGE said to its subscribers of the delayed issue:
You may be wondering where your copy of the new issue is; we’re afraid we’ve had to ask the printers to sit on it for a while in order to respect an embargo. It’s a rare, but often unavoidable, consequence of delivering you a true world exclusive. It should be landing on your doormat in the next few days.
It’s interesting that they are honoring the embargo for Super Mario Odyssey, because the magazine released their review of Zelda: Breath of the Wild before the embargo and Nintendo seemed to be fine with it (not a surprise given the game got a perfect score):
