FIFA 18 on Switch to have FIFA Ultimate Team

Following their E3 2017 conference, EA announced some new details about FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch.

As we reported earlier, the Frostbite Engine, and The Journey, FIFA’s cinematic story mode, will be absent from the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18. However, today, EA said that while Switch owners won’t have a dedicated story mode, they will get the FIFA Ultimate Team feature that usually makes FIFA one of the more exciting soccer games on everyone’s list.

What’s more is that FIFA Ultimate Team seems to be the real deal with the inclusion of Squad Building Challenges, Online and Offline Seasons, Tournaments, and Draft. You’ll also get access to the Transfer Market.

Here are the other game modes you’ll see this fall on FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch:

  • Career Mode
  • Kick Off and Local Seasons

FIFA 18 will also support all of the Switch configurations and control styles you’d expect, including single Joy-Con play.

You’ll also be happy to know that the game runs at 1080p while docked and 720p in handheld mode.

FIFA 18 launches on September 29th.
