Dreamfall Chapters is a successful Kickstarter game that is currently seeking release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but lead developer Ragnar Tornquist has revealed that the developer is in talks with Nintendo about a possible Wii U version. The lack of power behind the Wii U could be a potential problem for the release, however.

“We are also in dialogue with Nintendo. We’re going to be looking at it. We can’t make any promises because the Wii U, it’s underpowered compared to the next-gen consoles and PC obviously. I don’t think that’s a secret or Nintendo would get upset at me.”

Despite the Wii U’s internals, Tornquist admits that the team is going attempt to get the game running on the Wii U and then make a concrete decision depending on how well that turns out. It’s great to hear developers are going to give the Wii U a chance, even if it means a bit of extra work in order to get things going.
