Remember Dreamfall Chapters? It started as a Kickstarter that was successfully funded after promising to look into a Wii U version. Now it seems that isn’t going to happen and all mention of any Wii U version of the game has been scrubbed from the Kickstarter. Nintendo personally approached the team about bringing a port of the game to the Wii U, but now it looks like the game will be a PS4 exclusive on consoles, according to the latest tweet from Red Thread Games.
#Dreamfall #Chapters confirmed as a #PS4 console exclusive! More soon!

The game is still going to be available on PC, Mac, and Linux in addition to the console release, but for fans on the Wii U who were looking forward to this game, it’s probably not coming anymore if the deal secured with Sony is not a timed exclusive. According to the game’s Wikipedia page, the team always considered the Wii U port that Nintendo asked to see on their system as “secondary” to working on the PC version and now apparently, the PlayStation 4 version. Either way, this is another blow to Nintendo’s catalogue as Dramfall: The Longest Journey was one of the best adventure games released in the early 2000s.
