Nintendo files for a Diddy Kong trademark in Europe

Diddy

E3 is just around the corner and we’ve heard some interesting information about the upcoming show. Yesterday Retro Studios teased their possible presence on the show floor with a cryptic tweet and today, it seems Nintendo has filed a trademark for the words “Diddy Kong” in Europe. There was a rumor that went around stating a new Diddy Kong Racing game could be showcased, but we’re not sure of that considering the popularity of Mario Kart 8.

We’ll have to wait until E3 to find out what Nintendo is doing with the trademark, if anything, but do you want to see another Diddy Kong game? If not a racing game, would you be happy with the return of a platforming Diddy Kong game similar to Donkey Kong Country 2? Let us know in the comments!
