Today Square Enix has confirmed in a press release that the previously exclusive Wii U version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut will be coming to other platforms. The game was announced earlier this year and even featured prominently in yesterday’s Nintendo Direct as a shining example of third party support for Nintendo’s platform. This is unfortunate for Nintendo, but certainly bodes well for Square Enix as the game was a huge seller upon initial release. According to General Manager of Eidos-Montreal, Stéphane D’Astous, this move is designed to please fans of the game on all platforms.

“After our Director’s Cut announcement we received an overwhelming response from the community asking us to bring this ultimate edition of human revolution to other platforms. You asked for this!”

The touchscreen features that Square Enix showed off in its trailer you can find below will now be made to function with Xbox SmartGlass and the PlayStation Vita.
