Just a quick heads up for anyone who enjoys getting the Gold and Platinum Club Nintendo rewards that will be on offer later this year. June 30 is the cut-off date for entering any coins you’ve been saving. If you’ve already achieved Platinum status this year, then hold any surveys that aren’t expiring today until tomorrow, when the date rolls over and they’ll count toward your 2015 Platinum status.
If you’re unfamiliar with Club Nintendo, every year from July 1st to June 30th of the next year, Nintendo offers coins on 1st party title purchases/downloads, as well as registering any new systems you may have purchased. Each retail purchase has a Club Nintendo insert, while those who download their games must link their Nintendo Network ID to their Club Nintendo account in order to receive coins.
Those who purchase enough games to receive 300 coins in a single time period are awarded Gold Status, while those who achieve 600 coins in the same time period receive Platinum Status. Usually in the fall Nintendo will announce the awards for those who achieved these status’ and you can pick a prize. Previous prizes have been anything from statues to posters, at Nintendo’s discretion.
