Cloud gaming engine Cloudgine now supports Nintendo Switch

Cloudgine is a cloud-based software platform that can help games offload some of their processing to the cloud, and one of the games it powers is the upcoming Crackdown 3.

Now the Scottish company has announced that they are supporting the Nintendo Switch, which means that game developers can use its technology to get some extra processing power from the cloud.

The company didn’t reveal any games that are using or planning to use the technology, but at least we know that it’s now an option.

Cloudgine supports both PhysX and Havok for physics, meaning that games can offload demanding physics calculations to the cloud.

Of course, there’s always the issue with bandwidth and more importantly, latency, which is crucial when it comes to fast paced action games.
