The original Splatoon turned out to be way more popular in Japan than in the West. And it looks like the sequel will be just as popular, according to the launch and the sheer number of people who showed up.
While Splatoon was also a hit in the West, no one was lining up in front of stores for hours to be the first to get Splatoon 2. They did that in Japan, as we reported a few days ago.
Japanese publication Famitsu shared some photos of the Splatoon 2 launch in Japan, where lots of gamers came out to get a copy of the game (and a chance to buy the Splatoon 2 bundle).
