Activision is committed to bringing the music genre back from the dead with its new iteration of Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero Live. Where previous entries of the series were decidedly cartoony and focused much more on the rockstar aspect of playing the guitar, this behind the scenes video showcases how Guitar Hero Live will explore a wider range of music genres, rather than having you repeat the same three chords from Smoke on the Water.
The game’s Creative Director gives us a behind the scenes look at what the team wanted to accomplish in creating a new Guitar Hero experience, as well as a look at the brand new controller that will ship with the game. If you’re a Guitar Hero veteran you’ll notice the control scheme has changed a bit from the past, but according to the creative director, that only adds to the challenge.
