Studio won’t comment if it’s working on COD WW2 on Switch

This year, the Call of Duty series is going back to its roots as a World War 2 shooter. That’s great for PC, PS4, and Xbox One gamers, but what are the chances of this game appearing on the Nintendo Switch? After all, there were a handful of Call of Duty games that debuted on both the Wii and the Wii U.

A Beenox employee was asked if they’re potentially working on the Switch port of the game, but they couldn’t confirm whether or not that’s true due to NDAs they’ve signed. Here’s a screencap of the reply.

It should be noted that an excited Nintendo Switch fan reached out with a link to a Nintendo Life article detailing a recent social media post that led to some speculation that the studio is working on the title. So Beenox can only confirm that they are working on a Call of Duty game, but not which platform its for.

For those of you who have your hopes held high that this game releases on Switch, don’t hold your breath too long. Perhaps we’ll know more by the time E3 rolls around.
