Bayonetta 2 will get a five-disc soundtrack release

Bayonetta-2

One of the biggest items many people have been clamoring for when it comes to Nintendo titles is soundtrack releases. While we still don’t have standalone soundtracks for Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, or Mario Kart 8, thankfully Sega isn’t following in Nintendo’s footsteps in that regard. Sega’s in-house label Wavemaster will be releasing the Bayonetta 2 Original Soundtrack on October 29.

Track listings for this five disc collection haven’t been made available yet, but the album will most likely feature all the music available from the game. Platinum Games’ veteran Masami Ueda serves as the lead composer for the title, and Ueda has worked on several other well-known franchises including Resident Evil and Devil May Cry.

Fans looking forward to the soundtrack release will be paying a hefty sum, as the announced price for the massive soundtrack is 5142 yen, or around $50 USD. Given that the soundtrack will contain presumably all of the music from the game, if you end up liking the music well enough to want it stand alone, at least you’ll have that available.
