Bayonetta 2 has been available since October of 2014, but the only way to buy it in North America was to purchase the digital or retail pack that included both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for Wii U. The pack retailed for $59.99 and while that’s standard for many gamers, those who played the original game on PlayStation 3 griped about having to shell out more cash for a dual pack of a game they’ve already played.

Well, Nintendo of America has heard your cries and is releasing a standalone edition of Bayonetta 2 in February. Not coincidentally, this is when the Bayonetta DLC for Super Smash Bros. will be released as well. The standalone version of the game will be available starting February 19 for $29.99. If you haven’t yet picked up Bayonetta 2, this is the perfect opportunity to do so, especially if you’re not interested in the first game as well.
