Assassin’s Creed 3 on Wii U is the same as other versions

Assassin's Creed on Wii UUbisoft is supporting the Wii U with a ton of games, and one of those is Assassin’s Creed 3. There have been rumors of the Wii U version being technically superior to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions, but Ubisoft has now put those rumors to rest.

The news comes from Assassin’s Creed 3 director Alex Hutchinson, who said in a recent interview that the Assassin’s Creed 3 Wii U version is “exactly the same” as the other versions. He pointed out that the all platorms are the same and have the same features, and that the Wii U version isn’t diminished in any way. Of course, the Wii U edition will feature exclusive GamePad features tailored for the new platform. But all versions of the game will look the same and have the same content.

While Ubisoft has managed to make the Wii U version of AC3 the same as the other versions, that hasn’t been the case with other developers. EA Sports revealed that Madden NFL 13 on the Wii U will be missing key features that are found in other versions. Features such as a new physics engine and new game modes.

Assassin’s Creed 3 will launch on 4 major platforms — on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 30, and on the Wii U on November 18.
