The ARMS Twitter page has been firing off rapid reveals this past month with first looks at alternative costumes and bits of lore for the game’s roster. Earlier this week, the account tweeted that something escaped from the ARMS Lab, a location within the game. Now, we know what – or rather who – that was. Introducing Helix (DNA Man in the Japanese version), the latest addition to the ARMS lineup of fighters.
Helix resembles a gelatinous blob of sorts, kinda like the title character from the movie Flubber. His idle stance shows Helix’s “body” pulsating in place. Helix’s movements see him retracting and extending himself around the battlefield. His jelly-like body allows him to duck and gives him an interesting jumping animation.
ARMS launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on June 18th.
