Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma was busy last week at New York Comic Con promoting the new Nintendo 3DS title A Link Between Worlds. We got lots of new information about the game including how the Zelda development team only learned about the Nintendo 2DS during development of the title.

According to Aonuma, he planned on revealing more information about the upcoming Legend of Zelda Wii U title, but didn’t have enough time between preparing for his A Link Between Worlds panel.

So my final question, are you already preparing a new announcement for the next E3, in 2014? Maybe a Zelda for the Wii U? How about this?

“Actually I wanted to prepare something for my visits in Germany and New York, that I can announce. But I was so busy preparing my presentation of A Link between Worlds, that I can’t show you anything “new” today. But you can enjoy my next announcement. As soon as I am back at my office I will start preparing something new that I can show.”

Aonuma did announce that he will have more information for fans at E3 2014, so it looks like we might get our first taste of official Legend of Zelda Wii U information then, if more is not learned in a Nintendo Direct before then.
