Another UK retailer slashes Wii U price

The Wii U isn’t doing well sales-wise in the UK, with many retailers stuck with lots of inventory. Last week, UK retailer ShopTo slashed the Basic Wii U set from £249 to £199.

Wii U launchNow another UK retailer has done the same, and this time, it’s with the Deluxe set. Zavvi, a UK online retailer, cut the price of the Wii U Deluxe set from £299 to just £225. That’s a great deal if you’re in business for a Wii U console.

Sales of the Wii U have been sluggish since launch, as Nintendo still refuses to advertise and promote the console, apparently. Luckily, there are better times ahead of us: Pikmin 3 will be coming out shortly, and later this year, we’ll get Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. Nintendo also confirmed that we’ll see a Mario Kart and a new 3D Mario game at E3 this year.
