Analysts are pretty well known for stating the obvious, but at least this time it’s not Michael Pachter. Baird analyst Colin Sebastian spoke candidly to Games Industry about the current state of the industry, saying that the Xbox One could be poised to outship the PlayStation 4 by a 3 to 1 ratio. Sebastian attributes this to the reversal in online policies that were hotly debated before and during E3 before Microsoft’s reversal.

He also had some words to say about the Wii U, stating that the fate of Nintendo’s console largely depends on the games it can bring to this holiday lineup.

“The fate of the platform will likely rest on the popularity of Nintendo’s holiday software lineup.”

What do you think of the estimates for the Xbox One versus PlayStation 4? Will Nintendo’s fall lineup be enough to spark interest? Let us know in the comments below.
